New York, NY — Leila Heller Gallery is delighted to present a remarkable exploration of form, rhythm, and space in our upcoming exhibition, Arthur Carter: Geometric Abstraction. This highly anticipated showcase opening September 5th, 2024, offers visitors a rare glimpse into the innovative and thought-provoking works of American sculptor, Arthur Carter.
Arthur Carter, celebrated for his meticulous artistic approach and unique integration of mathematics and aesthetic sensibilities, presents a collection examining the interplay of geometric forms and fluid motion. Geometric Abstraction highlights Carter's journey in sculptural expression, in which the artist masterfully balances the complexities of three-dimensional space with elegant coherence.
The exhibition will feature a diverse range of Carter's works, including large-scale sculptures, intricate smaller pieces, and installations that invite viewers to engage with the spatial dynamics of his creations. Each piece is a testament to Carter's innate command of structure, balance, and harmony, reflecting his background as both an artist and a former financial executive.
"The convergence of art and mathematics has always been at the core of my work," says Arthur Carter. "This exhibition is a culmination of years of exploration and experimentation, where I've sought to create a visual language that speaks to the inherent beauty of order and the limitless possibilities of form."
Geometric Abstraction will be on view at Leila Heller Gallery from September 5th through October 12th, 2024. The opening reception will take place on September 5th from 6PM, where Arthur Carter will be present to discuss his work with attendees.
This exhibition offers a profound reflection on the relationship between art, mathematics, and the human perception of space. Art enthusiasts, collectors, and the general public are all invited to witness this extraordinary body of work.
